1,000 acres of Cheshire parkland. Views west to the Welsh hills. A 7,006-yard layout with water on seven holes and a finishing stretch that will sort the group out fast. Most golfers have heard of Nicklaus. Not enough have played his courses. This is the one he made with his son Steve - the only time they collaborated in the UK - and it plays every bit as well as the story sounds.
Why Carden Park?
This is a course serious golfers know about but not enough have played. The Nicklaus Course has real elevation changes, strategic bunkering, and a back nine that properly tests you. The Cheshire Course gives you a warm-up round, or an easy excuse. Either way, four of you are spending a night on a 1,000-acre Cheshire estate and coming home with a story worth telling at the 19th.
